StateJar for Android

The Android app is being built and is not on Google Play yet, so there is nothing to install today. What works on a phone now, what the app will do, how it is built, and what it will never do.

The short answer

What the app will do

These are planned, in this order, and none of them is released yet:

  1. Sign in, and the Playground's chat.
  2. Your memory: its versions, the handle of each one and the audit trail.
  3. Edit a fact, forget one, export your data and delete your account.

Until then, use the website: a new message in the Playground changes a fact or forgets one ("Forget the budget."), and Delete account removes your account and everything it holds.

How it is built

Payments

You will not be able to buy a plan in the app, now or later. Plans are sold only on the website, and billing there is closed for now: every account is on the Free plan (Pricing and payments).

Your data

The app reads and writes the same account as the website, under the same rules: facts are stored, transcripts are not, and every disclosure is in the audit trail. The privacy page covers the website today, and gains a section for the app before the app is published.

Questions

When will it be on Google Play? When it is ready and has been through Google Play's testing. There is no date yet. This page will link to the listing on the day it is public.

Can I install it from a file? No. The only build that will be offered is the one on Google Play.

Is there an iPhone app? No. Only the Android app is being built. On an iPhone, statejar.com works in the browser and can be added to the home screen.

Will it cost anything? No. The app is free, and plans are never sold in it.
